OIL IN AIR INTAKE HOSES

'92 940t

I recently replaced one of my air intake hoses - the first one out of the intercooler on the passenger side - due to a rather large hole which was causing some problems as you might imagine. There seemed to be a good bit of redidue (oil) lining the old hose. I had to remove the hose at the turbo charge in order to get the new one on and found a little pool of oil around the rim of the turbo charger itself. Is this normal? I dont' know how much oil, if any should be passed through to air intake hoses.

Thanks,
Sam
