Proper Coolant for 960 Engine 900

Other than the Volvo Blue, just what IS the proper coolant for the 24 valve aluminum engine?

I understood that the phosphate-free orange stuff (Prestone long-life phosphate free) was the ultimate for aluminum and rubber systems.

BUT, I see lots of guys here only recommending the plain old Grenn stuff (with phosphates), and specifically against the orange stuff, saying it will eat away the blocks and heads.

I know that the green stuff WILL corrode the aluminum in BMWs (it turns aluminum fittings to white powder and clogs the aluminum radiators), and ruins the rubber hoses. In the BMW, the orange stuff is the secret for long life.

Now I am confused!! Which is best?

Bob
