IS THIS CAR WORTH IT ? This is long.... 700 1986

Jeez... I just looked at a 1990 or 1991 740T wagon, 16" wheels, leather, roof, and perhaps A/C. The thing is kind of a wheezer but not that bad. Turbo could use a rebuild, but functionally it's all right. Paint isn't perfect, but it's got good tires and it looks respectable. Nice alloys too, with center caps. The leather can use a re-dye, but I like doing that kind of thing.

$2500 window sticker. That means probably $2200.

Which is what you'll have into that bucket once you finish. Its already half stripped. You MIGHT be able to get all the pieces, but it will be time consuming if not horribly expensive. For the price you'll end up paying it might be easier to buy a car that's all there. The price that he wants is rough retail.

And $800 relegates the thing to the parts column.
