I know this car did not have an airbag. Maybe someone was replacing one with a non airbag one??? As for the insurance, I'm not sure it was insured at the time. He let his daughter park it behind his business (used car lot) when she
at college. It sat there for several months. The thief probably came back over and over again. Anyway, he picked up a wrecked 740 at the auction and was going to have his mechanic put it back together. The large auto dealership next door offered him a substantially large some of money for his property and he sold it.
Now the Volvo sits behind his other business (transport company). I agree $1400 is too much for this car. Maybe I should just put the cash into my 245.
P.S. I have no idea why someone steals a fuel filler door. These are freebies at the junkyard.
