intalling a tach in place of my clock ('88 240DL) 200 1988

simple question from a newbie... how do you remove the glass or the dashboard to install a large tachometer in place of the large clock to the left of the speedometer in an '88 Volvo 240 DL? I have removed the mini-guage panels, and unscrewed the right side of the driver's dash, but i cannot pull it out, and with my little knowledge, i think im gonna brake something -- instructions would be great.
