Purchase Advice - 84 242T 200 1984

Although I wasn't aggressively looking for another car, I've found a nice looking 242T here in town. This is a pretty rare occurence as I don't see many bricks around here and I can't recall ever seeing a 200 series turbo.

I've searched old posts and discovered a few of the things that I need to look for. I'll check all of the standard things that I would when looking at a used car but what should I pay special attention to when looking at this car.

I know I need to check for rust. The owner claims its a Florida car, so if there's rust it should be pretty easy to find. Our cars that live near the coast tend to rust in obvious places. If there's any secret spots that tend to rust on 240s, I need to know that so that I can be sure to inspect.

The car has an M46. What peculiarities do I look for here? How do I check the overdrive? If it works, its good?

I don't know a lot of specifics yet. I plan on calling him this afternoon. I'll continue the search through the archives but if anyone can give me some guidance as to what questions I might want to ask, I'd be thankful.

Thanks
Don Tibbetts

P.S. the paint looks really good, it may have been repainted. This could complicate things as I look for rust.
