Cure for non-functioning washer pumps/need advice on wagon washer hose 200

Hey there,

I got to fiddling this weekend and took instruciton from my friend Jerry, in order to revive a couple of washer pumps on my '84 245TI. If your washer pumps aren't working at all, first check the wiring harness going to them, mine were without insulation (typical), the main harness has been replaced but the last few inches of the harnesses going to the washer pumps was gone.

The wires were touching and causing the fuse to blow. Anyway repair/re-insulate the wires, unplug the pump from the wires and fluid resivoir. Undo the four small bolts from the bottom, this will separate the motor from the pump, the pump may be frozen or difficult to turn, get some WD 40 and squirt it into the pump system through either of the nipples where fluid goes in and out, the nipple without the flange is the supply nipple...work the pump till it turns easily, it won't spin on it's own it will only turn with your fingers so don't expect it to spin a lot, put it back together and test the motor now, it should work, re-install in car, fill up the fluid and have a ball.

Now I repaired my pumps and they worked, the front pump works and I'm able to clean the windshield. The pump for the rear hatch is working and is moving fluid but none of it is getting to the rear. I detacted a section under the hood and blew into the hose leading to the hatch, i discovered a small leak but not big enough to cause complete failure of the fluid to reach the back, I didn't even get a drop out of the rear sprayer. Anyone have an experience like this, I'm temped to get some compressed air in there, How should I approach? anyone ever replace the whole hose?
