Steering Wheel Surprise 444-544 1963

John:

Thanks for the explanation. I found the set screw but didn't know about rotating the horn ring.

Fortunately the experience was more frustrating than dangerous as the car was merely negotiating a left hand turn when the steering failure occured. At least fate was kind enough to provide a handicap ramp at the sidewalk and miss a fire hydrant by inches.

The only things destroyed were some brain cells and the ability to drive a 40 year old car without second thoughts. On the other hand if the beast really wanted to kill me, then it certainly had its chance without taking advantage. Who needs a McLaren for the thrill of your life?

Best Regards,

Joe
