Just the short block isn't so bad. With head, alternator, manifolds, etc, I think it's about 350 pounds. A 3 person job, due to akwardness, etc. A bare shortblock is 2 people.

When I built the engine for the 122, I foolishly carried all the parts to my 2nd story apartment and assembled it there. Getting the shortblock out was terrible. Had my friend or I lost our grip going down the stairs, someone would have been squished.
