losing power only when accelerating 700 1987

I seem to lose power and cannot accelerate above 30-40 mph whether the engine is hot or cold. Running the car under 30 mph is fine and absolutely no problems. I have replaced all carb hoses (pierburg 2b5 carb) fuel filter, spark leads, coil, sparks but the problem still there. The car does no stop or cut out. When stationery and reving to above 3000 rpms sometime the revs drop for a few secs.

However, when I disconnect the the Hose that goes into the air trunking (carb cover) from the hot start vale the problem disappears, though not as smooth accelerating as should be.

Have checked the archives and applied tips. The car is regulary serviced and lovingly cared for.

Regards
