Stalling when placing into gear

Car Info:'88 740 Turbo, 140K, recent work:spark plugs, plug wires

For some time now, my brick stalls/hesitates when i place it into gear(reverse) after a cold start. If I idle approx 30 secs or pump some gas prior to switching into gear it seems to be okay.

I've never had any work done on the injectors which is probably my first point of concern. On the other hand I don't want to touch the injectors unless I know they will fix this problem.

If anyone has had this problem solved I'd appreacite some tips to avoid any unecessary guessing.

Thank You.

Joe D.
