I get an unusual message code when I enter radio code 700

posted by  someone claiming to be bob on  Sun Sep 1 18:03 CST 2002 [RELATED]

The display on your radio is rpt, or repeat. This is telling you it is the wrong code. Go to a dealer with the car and radio. If the radio is original, the code can be accessed by the VIN. If the radio has ever been replaced, the code must be accessed by the redio part and serial #s. The dealers are supposed to update the VCNA data base when they replace a radio, but it rarely happens.
