VDO clock only works sometimes 200

Hi,

The large VDO clock (in the tack position to the left of the speedo) in my 1983 245 works fine when the ambient temperature outside is above 65 degrees. Once it gets below 65 it stops. Sometimes resetting the time will get it going for a while but it will eventually stall out. It has run great all summer but recently stopped again when we had some early cool weather. I had the same problem with the VDO clock in a 1967 VW Transporter and never could figure it out.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Thanks
