Oil additives 700

As per my previous post, I just had my headgasket replaced due to a slight oil leak from it. Now, I cannot see any oil comming out of the headgasket itself but I still have oil driping, this time from almost the middle of the car. I am going to give the underside of the car a complete wash to get of all the old oil there but if this persists, I am inclinded to give one of those oil additives a go that are susposed to stop leaks. Is this a good idea? I have got clean, nice synthetic oil in there now and I do not want to make a mess of it.
