940 A/C thermostat? 900 1991

Hi all

Just had the A/C on my 91 940 converted to R134a gas. Now ,while the A/C is on, the compressor won't turn off. The air coming out of the vents is at
-10C! While this will be lovely in the heat it won't do much for the compressor. The guy who did the conversion replaced the pressure switch but the problem persisted. So he put the old one back on because it is apparently adjustable and played with that but had no joy. He says that there is a thermostat near the evaporator somewhere that could be causing this problem. I have to take the car back to him tomorrow but am wondering whether anybody is aware of this thermostat? Could there be another problem? The conversion kit is the dinky di Volvo kit.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Brad
