totalled 91 240 sedan.

Our car was totalled last week in an accident (Raleigh drivers suck). The car is still in my driveway and I am getting itchy to take the fenders and headlights off of the sucker, for my 84 242TI project. Am I entitled to take these, since the car is off to the junkyard anyway? Or will the bastard insurance company, that will surely hot in hell (State Farm), frown on this? This car also has a great engine and transmission that would be shamefull to see sent off to one of the dirt bag money grubbing junkyards in Raleigh! If they came to haul off a car and all that was there was the smashed in trunk and a shell of a 91 240 on blocks (car has new tires too) what would/could they do (ie., do you get your settlement money before the car gets hauled off)?

Anyone need any 240 parts ;)

Turns out Raleigh NC is actually the pit of hell, in case anyone on the board is considering moving here. SERENITY NOW!
