940 1992 GLE: A/C switch and fan functionality

Both of my volvo's do the same thing,I use the other a/c postion(non max) once the inside has cooled off;at highway speeds, with the fan off, the outside ram air that comes thru into the car works well because of the fresh air that is mixing with the a/c air.The cabin doesn't get stuffy and there is enough flow so I don't have to hear the blower fan.IMHO
