Fuel Pump Relays-Hot Fuses ETC 200

There have been a few posts lately about the fuel pump relay and pre pumps and hot fuses. I've had hot fuses and all of this yakkin' caused me to go out and look at my relay (1980 245, K-Jetronic). This relay (in my car) has a plastic cover and has the six contact plug and is located under the driver side dashboard. I pulled off the cover of the relay and looked at the circuit board side of the relay using a 2X & 5X eye loupe. ALL of the solder joints that hold the magnetic coil in place were fractured. These joints are also part of the circuit for the pump and it was plain to see that this could cause some pesky heat and intermittent problems. A few minutes with the trusty Weller gun and all is lovely. It's worth checking. I confess, it was easier to post this than trying to remember all of the posts that this might apply to.
