I have a 1988 Volvo 740GLE Wagon (non turbo)"AW-70 AUTO TRANS" and the engine/tranny has 350,500 miles on it as i type this dialogue! I would hardly call them crap. I maintain my vehicle with nothing but Premium products. Texaco ELC (COOLANT)Amsoil Lubrication/filtration just to name a few etc, oh and nothing but super-unleaded fuels. And let me tell you although its not a turbo, this vehicle moves, i have no problem averaging 90 plus MPH (95% hwy miles) avg 1,200-1,400 MILES PER A WEEK. And the transmission shifts so smoothly, that its just simply incredible! IF YOU BEAT ON THE CAR, IT WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU!
