Update!! Fixed! 200

Thanks to everyone for the help. I REALLY appreciate it.

I jumped 12V to the AC switch, and to my surprise, and just like you said, the fan came on. WOW. I never thought of doing it that way.

Sure enough, the red wire coming down from the multi-pin gauge connector was the only problem with the electrical system. Did I mention that the original temp gauge is dead, replaced with a VDO? I wondered if the two had something to do with one another. That red wire was showing about 5V, and I didn't feel like pulling the dash apart, so I ran a new lead from the fuses (live with the key in the RUN position) over to the red terminal on the delay relay. After 10 seconds or so, it clicked.

I turn the AC knob and the compressor kicks on, just like it should. The air's not cold:( but I have a new drier to be installed after it's checked over and recharged.

It's been painful, but I suspect I saved a bundle by taking care of the electrical, myself.

Now, who knows anything about the central locking system? Kidding... for now.

Thanks again.
