Volvo Fixed!!! 200

Hey I wanna thank everybody that offered suggestion relating to my 87 244 problem. (bad idle, black smoke, and crappy MPG.) Through this forum I was able to find out it was a bad AMM. And, through the forum I was able to find out what the part# was and what years I could snag one from. Went down to the U-Pull-Apart and found 2, one from a 87 244, looked pretty dirty and there was water in where the plug connects to. The other, which I bought for $50, was from a 85 wagon. It looked alot cleaner and somebody had put contact gel in the socket. My question is. They both had the same part# 0-280-212-007. But the elements in the AMM were differnt. The one on the 87 was a blade type center, like the AMM that went bad on mine, the other has a triangle or a diamond shape in the center, cant remember which. I hooked it up and it was running great. I had to take her on the highway and kind of run her out till the smoke went away. But I was just curious about the elements. Thanx for all the help and for the forum.
Patrick
