engine shake at idle - suspect intake manifold gasket failure 900 1994

After reading help offered in prevoius questions on the same subject,(heavy consistant shake at idle) today I removed each coil from the plugs one at a time with the engine running. Only the third one in from front show no drop in RPM when it was removed. Holding the plug cover close to the plug did allow me to hear the arcing noise so I expect the spark is good. I swapped the number three plug with the number 1 plug. Both were equally worn but did not look fouled. OK, the question...how do I know for sure if the intake gasket has failed. When I started the car today, idle was smooth but only for about 2 or 3 minutes. No more. This, I suspect, could be caused from the broken gasket only flexing and allowing air into the cylinder when it warms up. What do you think about spraying carb cleaner at the suspected leak area to look for an increase in RPMS? BTW, the gasket appears to be red or orange as mentioned in prevoius replies. Are any special tools required for replacing this? I don't have any volvo repair manuals but I'm willing to buy. If I do confirm a failed gasket, should I buy it from the dealer? Someone who wrote said it was an 8 hour job if done at home. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.
