88 240 Wiring harness questions (Instruments) 200

The 85 and lower 240 Turbo and GLT have a convenient connector for the 3-pod gauges in the dash. Does the 88 240 have a similar convenient connector? I haven't found one yet and I'm thinking the wiring harness was redesigned in 86 with the rest of the car. How true is this and where is that sucker hiding if it's there? I'm trying to avoid splicing into the wiring harness to get the needed signals for my extra gauges to be installed.

Also, there are two wires behind the instrument cluster that are tucked away (I do have the tach installed so that third one is in use :). One is yellow with a red stripe and the other is solid blue. According to the schematics, the yellow/red should go to the upshift light, but mine is disconnected. Is this something normal or was mine disconnected by an annoyed previous owner?

Thanks!
M Carmack
