I did exactly this with my now departed 245. I bought a fog light relay at the autoparts store and got a rocker switch from a 240 in the junkyard. I would just flip it on when needed. Worked like a charm, but then again, I was the only one who drove the car. I would not trust the average civilian to deal with this manual step.
