Is my diff going out? 200

Our 89 5spd 245 had developed a couple O interesting symptoms. When transitioning from on to off throttle at around 40mph or more a low droning hum can be heard from somewhere under the car. Also, under high torque situations (accelerating hard) there is an evenly timed vibration coming through the driveline. The vibe has been happening longer than the droning sound and I'm not sure if they are related. This is not an exhaust problem! Also, the tires are new since these problems started as well as the U-Joints and center carrier bearing in the driveline. The brakes are good as well. All I can think of is the diff but I'm not sure of how to check it. I do know that the oil level is good. So, is my diff going out?
