Can a 140 tow another car? 140-160

I was considering hooking up a towbar or tow hook to my '70 144 Auto. Do you think it can handle towing a small Fiat Spider? Would drilling holes in the rear bumper to attach a towbar w/ball be good enough? Or do you think the bar should be also bolted to the body somewhere? I don't see any place besides the bumper where a towbar can be mounted since the gas tank is under the trunk.
