AMSOIL

I have no facts on Tornado because there really are none...well ok they make your car lighter, but only if you send cash from your wallet or glove box.

As for Amsoil - the other end of the spectrum. I have heard some miracle cures about motor oil. Amsoil is NOT a miracle cure. Motor oil never cured an existing engine mechanical problem. Good REAL synthetic oil will reduce wear, your car will run cooler, get a very slight increase in mileage, and a few other benefits. Best of all it will simply allow you to extend your oil chnage interval.

0W - is the winter cold temp flow rating that's all - some people have a silly notion that the SAE viscosity ratings have something to do with wear protection. It's a hard thought process to break. 0W-30 Amsoil synthetic oil actually protects better because it pumps almost instantly on start up. You probably won't see a 0W petroleum oil, simply because petroleum oil is so thick at cool temperatures - NOT good for your car.

Shoot me a private email if you want a few page hard copy brochure on motor oil classifications, SAE, API etc...
