Interchanging rear ATE calipers from 240 to 740 200 1983

I am going to replace the rear ATE calipers on son's 83 245. After rebuilding the old calipers, I would like to use them on wife's 89 740 which also has ATE rear calipers. I realize there are 3 different size pistons for the 700 series rear ATE calipers. But if I replace the entire caliper, will they interchange OK?
