240 purchase 200 1987

Pirelli P400 - great all round tire for a 240!!!

Excellent dry/wet handling. Fairly quiet and smooth ride. Fair to good in snow. Very reasonably priced for what you get.

I've had Michelin MXV 4's and Dunlop D60 A2's - both excellent tires - but the Pirelli is just as good or better all round and cheaper than either one, especially the Michelin. The Michelin is the quietest and best riding (Pirelli a close second). The Pirelli and the Dunlops are about even in handling (Michelin third), maybe the Dunlops are a hair better but the Pirellis are quieter and better riding. Other people like Yokos and Avids but I have no experience with them...

JW 1990 244DL 205K and runs great
