Just re-read and realised i left out o couple of usefull bits...

I used a vacume gauge (actually one i had from my days of balencing carbs on multi carb bikes) to measure the vacume on the small line once i had it clean - just to check it was free flowing - i got 21" of vacume...

I also used a compressor and wash gun to was hthe hoses thru with de-greaser, then washed with water and blew dry with compressor, i also had to ream out the s hose using a long cable tie folded over into a u...if i had to do it again i would probably buy a s hose (depending on cost but it cant be that bad!)

oh and i would defiantely replace the oil filler cap..

my stuff didnt seem teribly bad (i.e. not obviously blocked solid..) but since doing this (100+ miles ago) my filler cap is leaking a LOT less (if at all) and an oil weep i had showing on the water pump has disapeared...

mine will get frequently done from hear on...

Personally I changed the seperator box ($30) on the gorounds of i didnt want to be doing the job to often, didnt know the state of what was on and it looks likea SOB to clean - it isnt to bad...but if yours was badly blocked up i think it would want soaking in something for a while..so u want a new one to swap in so u can renevate the old one ready for next time...

Oh and be really carefull of the tube mentioned in the FAQ..what isnt said is that it has a tab the sticks out of the underside of the breather box that u can use a scredriver to hold down...look HARD at the base of a new box and u can see where the tab fits and comes out (sortof along the ledge the box mounts on towards the front of the car)..look at the pics in the faq of the ledge with the box off and u can see the tab on the hose there...

like i said, for me a job to do when you are relaxed and have the time ...its a bit fidley..

hope it goes well!
