Fails to Start 200 1985

A relay can click and still not pass power if the contacts are burnt.A burned 25A fuse sounds like an intermitant short to ground though.Remember that electricity will take the easiest path to ground, it may even backfeed through other circuits given the opportunity.Any other odd eletrical problems might be related and help to locate the source of the problem.Poor grounds can cause intermitant problems, especially while cranking as they are trying to flow a couple of hundred amps.Slow or no starting, inconsistant charging, fluctuating dash and headlights, erratic code setting, and with newer vehicles where the test is much more dynamic and computer response time is important emissions failures.Symptoms may include some shops replacing parts i.e. battery, starter, alternator, sensors or computer which may or may not `cure` the problem at the time, only to have identical problems reoccur eventually. Some problems even come from the factory.
