Exhaust blowing 700

Hi guys,

My exhaust has started blowing (1988 740 Turbo) from what appears to be the engine. I suspect it is just a loose downpipe from the block itself but thought I'd ask for any other ideas. As you can imagine it gets very hot in there so I can't see to get close. Is it just a case of getting a spanner and tightening the bolts or is there something more sinister?

Any help is greatly appreciated although it does actually sound quite fruity!

Cheers

Paul F (Newcastle, UK)
