window and other interchangability between 242 and 142 140-160 1969

Yes the glass will work. You *might* have to slip the glass out of the metal holder at the bottom of the window (it's pressed in there) because I'm not absolutely certain that the pivots and pins are exactly the same on a 142 that old. I'm pretty sure that they're compatible - metal vs. plastic clips but locations are the same. You'll probably want all the plastic "tuning fork" pieces out of the 242.

When you install the 242 rear glass, go to a hardware store and find a metal plumbing cap or plug that'll fit neatly over that big phillips head window latch screw. Anyone can break into the car with a phillips screwdriver pretty easily (ask me how I know). Out of sight, out of mind. Little silicone RTV to stick it on there, good to go.

As for the turbo's pieces, the gauges and power-window stuff consistently sell well on EBay, along with good taillights, sunroof stuff and steering wheels. You want to sell that "TURBO" steering wheel?
