window and other interchangability between 242 and 142 140-160 1969

I just tried this and I found that to do this required essentially to swap doors as the 242 windows have a slight angle at the back and the 142 are straight so this wouldn't work, but I'm sure I could have made it work with electric windows and all. I'll bet the 244 electric window mechanisms could work easily in the door frames.
Everything requires a little effort. The only big problem I noticed with mine BEFORE pulling all the parts and trying it was that the front window guide was farther forward and I would have a triangular void to fill. but one I pulled the doors I found that the 242 rear door pillar is a triangle instead of being a straight line piece. anyway this is all of little interest I am sure. Have a good day.
