V ented front discs 200

OK, well from what I gather my 83 245 DL has the ATE calipers in the rear. What do I have in the front more than likely? I assume that the vented rotors are the best but looking through the various parts catalogs I see that the vented rotors have their own possibly different calipers. Will the calipers and rotors from the vented units bolt right on to the non-vented disc cars? Will all the lines still fit in the old locations? Is this swap worth while? Does it improve the braking power a bit over the non-vented variants?
