Looking for 'Mike' or 'Greg Shutt'. (Warren, please read too) 900 1998

Well, if your car is anything like my old 760, the flasher unit is actually in the hazard switch. Yank off the panel covering the bottom of the dash (the thing you bash your knees into when you get in the car) and look up and find the hazard switch. Undo the connector and shove the switch towards the rear of the car to remove it. Now that it's out, you have a couple options. You can open it up and see if there are any obvious problems (something got toasted). If there's nothing like that, I recommend you try resoldering the thing (ala the Don Foster treatment). Put it back in the car, drive it around, see if it works. If it still doesn't work, it's time to find a new flasher unit. Either at the dealer ($300) or a salvage yard ($20) (note these prices are random numbers). Of course, I may be completely wrong about the location of the flasher unit. I have a '97 960 but I've never looked for the flasher. Maybe I'll check tomorrow. Or better yet, how bout you check for me?? Let me know how it goes...

-Greg
