shudder upon acceleration 700

I bought a 90 780 Turbo a month ago. I spent 1800 and I am incredibly satisfied. I have two issues though, and I hope that some of you out there can help me out.
1 - Is the hood specific to the 780?
2 - There is a shudder upon acceleration. It happens only in first gear between 1500 and 2000 RPM. I feel the shudder in the seat, not the steering wheel. The previous owner suspected the center bearing rubber on the drive shaft, so he replaced it. It did not alleviate the symptoms. Any ideas out there?
