rattle from the rear

I have a rattle/creak that has appeared in the last few weeks from the rear portion of the car. I am inclined to think that it is the sway bar - I had a 240 that developed the same rattle that drove me nuts which turned out to be the sway bar. However, I got under the car and looked at it and to me it looks ok. It all looked tight and I wasn't able to wiggle anything. Is there something specific I should be looking for to identify the rattle? What specifically in regards to the sway bar should I be looking for? If it's not the sway bar, what else could be the culprit?

The noise comes primarily when I am turning right. It seems to be getting slowly more frequent and has now started appearing when I pass over rough spots in the road. I would gather it must be something in the suspension system somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Sam
