More (my) thoughts on Dexcool

Things I think I know about Dexcool:

1) It's not always 100% compatible with the latest style BLACK (10psi) expansion tank. With hot hard runs in turbos (when starting off with a cold expansion tank near the full mark)....a little juice/vapor will want to exit when the car is very hot...this crap will then dry in the cap pressure release valve (small little valve) - and suddenly the valve doesn't seal so great. Not a huge issue, just some dribbling.......I got an older style cap from one of my parts piles. I cleaned the cap inside and out. Been using this cap for awhile and no problems.

2) It does NOT eat solder. This is a rumor.

3) It does not crud up the inside of the cooling system, in fact the opposite seems true.

4) It seems to want escape more than the old green stuff.....dunno why.
