swapping camshafts

I would not go to the trouble of mounting a used head unless it was rebuilt first. I have an old K cam out of a B23E in my "new" '91 245 and it is great. I have an old K cam out of another B23E in my old '79 242GT and it is similarly wonderful to drive with. I think cams are pretty safe if they look good to the eye, but a machine shop can check a cam for condition.
