No need for drama...My DEXCOOL results

1995 Dodge Intrepid, 125K miles. Flushed out green, installed Texaco Dexcool3 years ago. Now nearing 200K with no reported coolant problems. Not yet changed by owner.

1986 240, 150K. Three years ago: New Nissens radiator, new (el cheapo) water pump (o-ring leak caused by oil seepage onto it), flushed out gren, aded Texaco Dexcool. Now over 200K. Same coolant. no problems.

1986 245, 178K. One year ago: Reconditioned entire car for resale. Repleced green collant with Texaco Dexcool and new T-stat. Now at 190K miles. No problems reported.

1984 240, 202K two years ago, when found in junkyard and dragged home for crash repair and reconditioning. Plugged cooling system! Green mud for coolant, flushed and replaced with Texaco Dexcool and 150K mile used Volvo plastic radiator from the '86. Now 215K miles. No problems.

1984 Olds Delta 88 Custom Cruiser Wagon. Four years ago, at 125K, re-tanked used radiator due to filler neck break (common), new hoses, T-stat. Flushed & filled with Texaco Dexcool. Red "crusties" appeared at T-stat bypass hose soon thereafter. Huge amounts of brown flaky crud appearing n expanson tank (evidently lots of garbage being stirred up!)

Now 150K, radiator leaking from used core. Need radiator,T-stat,flush and new coolant.

Pop quiz!

What kind of coolant will I use?
