rear lights and blown fuses...HELP 700 1986

I have poured over the 700 FAQ and cannot quite find my problem. I had a single running light out on my 86' 745ti on the passenger side. I checked the bulb and it was ok. I cleaned all of the contacts, which were pretty corroded, and it still would not work. I then noticed that the front parking light wires were rotted and shorting out (the lense assembly is missing). Are the front parking lamps and the rear lights connected in some way? the main problem at this point is as soon as I turn on the lights, the fuse for my passenger side rear lamps blows. What can I do?
