Diesel transplant INTO a 240?

Hello all.
I've been trying to find a diesel volvo, but have been warned of the pitfalls of such creatures... so I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of putting a reliable mercedes benz diesel in a 245. I've also found a few good running volvo diesel engines in ruined cars- can these be transplanted into a gas 245? Any strangeness with bellhousings/transmissions, motor mounts, ignition systems, etc...? Thanks!!
