toss idle air valve--consequences? 200 1981

Bueno,

Sitting here pondering running 1981 244GL w/ k jet with idle air motor/valve disconnected, out of the picture, run small piece of /hose between in port and out port.

Would base idle be too fast now? Would be permanent idle bypass around throttle valve in this scenario. Any consequences that couldn't be adjusted out? Car has automatic and seems to need boost anyway.

Car can be made to idle at 900 rpm once fully warm, in park/neutral, w/ dysfunctional IAC (stuck closed) mounted, electric connector on. But idle adjust screw is truly "maxed out".

BRICK on accelerator has always worked for me as "hand" throttle but this is girlfriend's kar alas and should be korrekt.
