fuel injector ... FIRING ORDER? How does self test work? 700

Remember that the injector isn't putting fuel right into the cylinder-
look where they are: on the intake manifold. They shoot it in the general vicinity of the back of the intake valve. When the valve opens, the cylinder sucks in this enriched volume of air out of the manifold. Yes, it probably gets one shot right about as the valve is wide open and the piston is drawing in air, but while that's happening, a couple others are gettign sprayed against a closed intake valve.
It's a tricky thing, stoichiometry. :-)
