No spark! 700

Look (very carefully) at the connector on the bottom of the distributor. It's fragile, it can crack, and the wiring to it can get crusty. If this is falling apart, you may have to bite the bullet and get a new dist.
I just put one in my 88 earlier this year.
If your car is an 89 or later year, forget everything I've said and just repalce the speed sensor (crank angle sensor). That's under the distributor in the back of the engine. Very common failure.
