Installing a tach - questions 200 1990

Hi all,

I am installing a tach in my 90 Volvo 240. Is there any wiring involved? I noticed in some old posts about a red/white or grey wiring. Where is this located, and where does it go on the tach? I have the small clock and the wiring harness, so that should go smoothly.
