Redline MTL in a M46? 200

What's the consensus? I've searched throught the archives and found conflicting reports. I just bought 3 quarts of the stuff and am hesitant to put it in. Climate here can get a little cold in winter . Some below zero mornings. usually 10-15F is as cold as it gets, almost always gets up to 30-40F by afternoon. If I wait 5 minues or so to engage the OD on cold mornings, think I'd be OK? Transmission and OD work fine but I get a little grind from 4th to 3rd sometimes if I rush the shift. Once the OD started dropping out but this was after about 30 min of highly spirited driving (85MPH+). Thanks for any suggestions.
