Sunroof partly open and won't move. 700

Hi, I have a 90 780 turbo. I bought the car from an auction and the battery was dead. I just had it charged and I figured I'd check out all the gimos on the 780 to see if they all worked. some seat motors were slow, but everything worked except the sunroof (and the electronic gas cap opener, but I don't care) I pushed the button to open the sunroof and it moved, then stopped. I havn't got it to do anything since. I'll fix it soon, but how can I get that sucker closed? The car is filthy and I want to wash it! - and hopefully it doesn't rain! it doesn't seam to make any noises when I push the button. Is it most likely just a bad switch or a motor? Any remedies? Thanks for any help
