Fuel Pump vibrates, but does it work???? 200 1983

Greeting one and all,

I am in a no start situation. I have been this way for a couple of weeks now, and I need to ask a question. I have tried the relays and asked for help a week ago. I have found more problems (wiring insulation needs to repaired), anyways, I finally disconnected the hose to the fuel rail. No gas is coming from the fuel pump to the fuel rail. The pump is making noise, but is it working. Anyone had a problem like this??? Can anyone shed light on this problem. Thanx
